2007 – 2011 : 500HP 6.6L LX3 V8 engine and 8-speed conversion for early Jeep Wrangler JK / JKU
Bruiser Conversions powerful LX3 500HP V8 engine and 8-speed conversion for early Jeep Wrangler JK and JKU, 2007 – 2011 model years, is fully tunable. In addition, it maintains the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) functionality of all vehicle systems supplied with your vehicle. Consequently, all systems that were functional prior to the conversion process will be functional after the conversion has been completed! Basically this includes things like the instrument cluster, indicators, gauges, powertrain control systems, cruise control, hill descent mode, tip start, tap shift, and more. Our system uses a GM E-38 computer and has the capability of reading both the GM & Jeep side from a dual OBD port system.
Early model Jeep Wrangler JK and JKU vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission (42RLE) REQUIRE A TRANSMISSION UPGRADE.
This completely turn-key 6.6L LX3 500HP V8 engine and 8-speed conversion for early Jeep Wrangler JK / JKU (2007 – 2011) also upgrades to the much stronger and efficient TorqueFlite 8-speed (8HP70) automatic transmission. Because the factory 4-speed transmission (42RLE) is not designed for the V8 power, it must be replaced. This upgrade includes the 8-speed transmission, torque converter, wiring harness, and a performance tuned TCM. Additionally, a new center console and automatic transmission shifter assembly are provided. As a result, the driver can access the late-model tap shift option! Importantly, the OEM software is updated to include P-R-N-D-L display functionality on the OEM instrument cluster.
In reality, the 8-speed 8HP70 is a stronger transmission that can handle more torque (and thus, horsepower) over the 42RLE. Another important performance improvement of the 8-speed transmission is shift quality and efficiency. With our tuning, we dial in the shift points of the transmission to maximize the performance coming from the engine in optimal RPM ranges. This can also be beneficial to those who have larger than stock tire sizes!
New generation LT engine conversions have replaced the LS engine for early model Jeep Wrangler
GM has released their best small-block V8 yet with the Gen-V LT engine family! Therefore, the production of GM LS engine blocks has all but halted. The LS3 crate engine from GM Performance is no longer available. No worries! Bruiser Power Solutions has designed, tested, and released the LX3 crate engine, an LT-based engine with port injection using a Gen-IV operating system. It’s a 6.6L torque monster without the tuning and RPM limitations of factory direct injection.
Bruiser Conversions developed this complete, bolt-in, LX3 V8 engine and 8-speed conversion for early Jeep Wrangler JK for hassle-free integration into your Jeep project!
