Bruiser Conversions evolved from necessity. The Greek Philosopher, Plato, has been credited with the proverb, ‘Necessity is the mother of invention’. Jeff Garland established Jeff’s Jeep Yard in 1984. As the business evolved, Jeff was repeatedly faced with the need to invent solutions to rebuild and reconfigure Jeep vehicles with V8 engines. Consequently, necessity turned into a passion, Jeff used his engineering mindset to create standardized conversion kits to provide powerful, easy to integrate, and reliable powertrain systems.

Form and function are the foundations of a great vehicle. Jeff started specializing in conversions using General Motors’ Chevy small-block V8 engines with modern electronic control systems. Moreover, integrating them into the Jeep Wrangler CJ models of the era. As a result, expert V8 engine integration for Jeeps grew from there. Accordingly, he developed and refined a process to create reliable, high-power engine kits for his repowered Jeep projects. Through the years, Jeff has led his team building bespoke restorations, restomods, hot rods, street rods, muscle cars, jeeps, mud trucks, amongst other creations, that perform just as good as they look. Jeff also felt the need to help others with their Jeep projects and provide them with his fully-integrated V8 engine conversion kits.
